The New Orleans Consolacon was held Labor Day weekend (September 1-4) 1961. This was a gathering of the clan for those unable to make it to Seacon, the 1961 Seattle, WA Worldcon. It was hosted / chaired by Emile Greenleaf and Jan Penney (aka Jan Sadler Penney Samules) editor of SLANder.

The GoH was Daniel F. Galouye whose first novel Dark Universe had just been published.
