A fan and filker who lives with her husband Steve Savitzky in the Seattle area, where they moved in 2012.
At their previous residence in the in Bay Area, Grand Central Starport, they hosted a regular Wednesday night filk gathering for many years. Colleen served as con suite hostess at several Bay Area filk events.
In 1989 they took a suite at BayFilk (which was immersed in a major fannish feud at the time and didn't have a con suite) and declared it to be the Neutral Zone, with all filkers welcome. Consonance, BayFilk's replacement, grew in part out of that.
Colleen and Steve were inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 2008.
