Clarissa Smith was the daughter of famed pro E. E. "Doc" Smith.
Along with her father, she was a founding member of The National Fantasy Fan Federation (N3F) in 1941. Clarissa Kinnison, one of the main character in the Lensman Series was named after her. She was involved in the first masquerade.
