Carey Handfield

Carey Handfield is an Melbourne fan who was a founding member of Norstrilia Press, member of the Monash University Science Fiction Association, committee member in charge of memberships for Aussiecon, OBE of ANZAPA, deputy chairman and GoH Liaison of Aussiecon Two and recipient of a Golden Caterpillar Award at Aussiecon Two.

At the 1987 Australian National Convention, Capcon, a Ditmar Award for Outstanding Contribution to Australian Fandom was (according to records based on a list compiled by Marc Ortlieb) awarded to "Carey Handfield, T.R.O. (The Real Official)". That designation appears to have been derived from "The Real Official Carey Handfield Fan Club". He is married to Joanna Handfield.
