Britain in '87

A successful bid to hold the 1987 Worldcon in Britain resulting in Conspiracy '87. Its opposition was Phoenix in 1987.

At Eastercon in 1984, the "steering committee" was Malcolm Edwards, Chris Atkinson, Dave Langford, Colin Fine, Hugh Mascetti, and Martin Tudor.

Agents of the bid (an unusually large number of them) at that time included Marty Cantor, Gary Farber, Bryan Barrett, Jan Howard Finder and Pascal Thomas (US or "roving") plus Roger Weddall (Australia), Jean-Daniel Breque (France), Roelof Goudriaan (Netherlands) and Ahrvid Engholm (Sweden).
