Bob Hillis is a con-running fan living in Columbus, OH who was married to fellow fan Liz Gross. He was one of the founders of Central Ohio Science Fiction Society (COSFS) in 1966 and the Olentangy SF Society. He co-chaired the Columbus in 1976 Worldcon bid and a number of Marcons. He was a member of the Columbus Cavalry, Columbus in 1985, and Chicago in 1982. He chaired Smofcon 4. He was a member of the Committee on Permanent Organization and Incorporation of WSFS and was on the Board of Chicon IV.
