William J. Laubenheimer, aka Moonmoth, was a BArea fan and filker who wrote and sang a wide array of filk — Bill’s H. P. Lovecraft burlesque, “The Sunken Land of R’lyeh,” is acclaimed. A software architect, Bill was especially known for composing computer-related songs.

Bill was introduced to fandom by and married to fellow fan Carole Parker.

Bill died after arriving in Winnipeg to attend Pemmi-con, the 2023 NASFiC.
