Betty Cummings

(November 4, 1925 – September 12, 2017)

Elizabeth Starr “Betty” Cummings, who used the pennames Elizabeth Starr and Elizabeth Sloan, was a pro who wrote for Timely Comics and the Sangor Studio as well as the pulps before moving into children's books, bylined under her married name, Elizabeth Starr Hill.

The daughter of sf writers Gabrielle Wilson and Ray Cummings, at age 14, Betty attended the first Worldcon, Nycon in 1939, with her father.
