Founded in 1972, Bakka Books is an SF bookstore which claims to be the first sf specialty store in North America. It was located at 282 Queen St W in Toronto, ON in 1974. Its affiliates called themselves the Bakka Bozos. They made a potent homebrew bheer called Rocket Fuel.
A latest incarnation of the store is called Bakka Phoenix Books. In 2015, it was located at 84 Harbord Street, Toronto.
