Art Metzger, a Cincinnati fan and bookseller, is known in fandom for his An Index & Short History of Unknown (Baltimore, MD: T-K Graphics, 1976).

He is a member of the CFG. He and Bill Bowers were housemates for a time after Bowers’ second divorce, with extreme Fannish Splendor.
