#REDIRECT Tucker Death Hoaxes

"Anne Smidley" was the name used on a letter to Astounding in the January 1936 issue which announced the (hoax) death of Bob Tucker.  This was part of the nonsense in the (hoax) First Staple War that began in 1934.  It was the Smidley letter which caused ASF editor F. Orlin Tremaine to refuse to print any more letters connected to the First Staple War.
