Anime Central is a Chicago-based anime convention held annually since 1998. It has been located in the Hyatt Regency O'Hare since 2002 (with adjacent events held in the nearby Donald E. Stephens Convention Center since 2005 due to size constraints) and has grown to a size of over 24,000 badged attendees as of 2012.
