The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films is a non-profit organization with membership open to the public.

The Academy was founded in 1972 to honor, recognize, and promote genre films, and annually presents the Saturn Awards.

The first awards were presented in 1972 by actor William Shatner.

Although the awards still primarily nominate films and TV in the SF, fantasy, and horror categories, the Saturns have also recognized productions in standard dramatic genres.

There are also special awards for lifetime achievement in the field.

Club
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
