The 2002 Best Related Book Hugo was presented September 1, 2002 at ConJosé.

L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future, Volume XVII edited by Algis Budrys received enough votes on the nominating ballot to secure a place on the final ballot, but was ruled to be ineligible because anthologies are not covered by this category.
