Michicon 1, the 1941 Michiconference (also known as the Michigan First Annual Science Fiction and Fantasy Conference) was a convention held November 16, 1941 in a Jackson, MI, hotel. John Millard was chairman.

Cover art donated by Ziff Davis brought in $3 to $5 at auction. (The convention was remembered for a bed collapsing from too many fans on it.) One of the great fears expressed at time time was that the prozines might all go extinct — which seems to be a real possibility. Later, the group went to the home of E. E. Smith for a bull session.

The Mid-West Fantasy Fan Federation was organized there, with directors from each of the states represented.

Among the attendees were Al and Abby Lu Ashley, Walt Liebscher, Alan and Kay Becker, Al and Verna Smith Trestrail, Doc Smith, Erle Korshak, E. E. Evans, Jack Wiedenbeck, Mark Reinsberg, Leonard Marlowe, Dick Kuhn, Lynn Bridges, Morrie Jenkinson, Claude Degler and Bob and Jane Tucker.
