The 2nd World Fantasy Convention was held in 1976 in New York City at the Statler Hilton Hotel in Manhattan. The GoHs were C. L. Moore, and Michael Moorcock. The theme was "Unknown Worlds", the toastmaster was Gahan Wilson and it was chaired by Thom Anderson (under the title of "Magister".)
