Empire State Slans

An ersatz club created by Claude Degler in 1943 in New York as part of his Cosmic Circle. It was (supposedly) a state-wide umbrella organization with local groups such as the Slan Slum (which was actually the only one). Larry Shaw was the only real (though probably involuntary) member of either. Otherwise, he populated the clubs by contacting prozine readers using names and addresses culled from their letter columns. It seems to have had no real existence.

This is a stub club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, club fanzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.
When there's a floreat (Fl.) this indicates the time or times for which the club is attested. Clubs probably lasted longer than that. Please update it!
