Richard Dennis “Dick” Ellington was a Bay Area fan who got into fandom in New York, active beginning in the 1950s. He was a member of the NYSFCircle, the Fanoclasts, ESFA, OMPA, FAPA, the NYCon II committee, and the (Second) Futurian Society of New York.

He contributed the article, "Me To Your Leader Take" to All in Color for a Dime (1970), edited by Richard Lupoff and Donald A. Thompson.

He ran unsuccessfully for TAFF in 1957. He was married to Pat Ellington.
