Catherine Mintz

(b. 1946)

Catherine Mintz has written nonfiction articles, poetry, fantasy, and horror, but her preferred form of writing is hard SF. She was trained in biology, anthropology, and history, and it is easy to trace these and other interests, such as languages, in her work. She also composes music and draws and paints professionally.

Mintz is a former president of N3F (1993-1994) and received the club's Kaymar Award in 1990 and the Franson Award in 2001. She edited the clubzine Tightbeam.
