Sveriges fanzine-förening

A Swedish fanzine distribution club, abbreviated SFF. Founded in 1978 (and at first called "Stocksunds fanzine-förening", named for the suburb where its founders lived) SFF can be described as an open apa, with unlimited membership and no activity demands on members. Any member of the club was welcome to send in a sufficient number of copies of whatever fanzine they published to the current administrator, who six times annually sent whatever fanzines received plus the official club fanzine, called SFF-bulletinen, to all members. The club averaged just under 100 members and lasted for over twenty years; the bimonthly mailings in many cases contained a dozen or more fanzines, but occasionally only the club fanzine, which was edited by numerous different fans. Membership fees were set to cover mailing postage.
