(Did you mean Donald Tuck’s Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and Fantasy?)

The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction is an English language reference work on SF, first published in 1979. The second edition appeared in 1993, followed by an expanded CD-ROM in 1995. In October 2011, the third edition was made available for free online, published and hosted by Gollancz.

The editors for the first two editions were John Clute (billed as Associate Editor in 1979) and Peter Nicholls (billed as General Editor in 1979). The principal editors for the third edition were Clute and Dave Langford, with Nicholls billed as Editor Emeritus and Graham Sleight as Managing Editor. The third edition technically became the fourth edition during a brief outage on 6 October 2021, after Gollancz sponsorship had ceased: the hosting switched to a Langford-designed lookalike site, with SFE Ltd (the editors' holding company) and Ansible Editions as joint publishers.

In an unmatched performance, all three editions won the Hugo:

Online edition.
