(September 9, 1952 – )

Fan who was part of the original 1970s team that built and opened the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC. He wrote and developed exhibits, authored articles for Smithsonian books on aircraft, and managed public operations of the Albert Einstein Spacearium.

In the 1980s, Dobson was head of game design and marketing for TSR, publishers of Dungeons & Dragons.

In the 2000s, he co-authored several alternate history novels with game designer Douglas Niles.

He started Timespinner Press in 2013 as an imprint to put together a complete series of books of What Happened On This Day, covering every single day of the year, including February 29.

In 2018, he took on chairpersonship of Corflu 36 and co-administration of the 2019 FAAn Awards.
