Merle Insigna is a fan artist and Sf/fantasy illustrator living in New Hampshire.

She was nominated for the Best Fan Artist Hugo in 1988-1991 and 1993.

She was a member of Markland (a Maryland-based group of Dark Ages enthusiasts (who think the SCA are wimps) and of Boston in '89 and NESFA and is a Fellow of NESFA.

Her fan art included much of the art for the Boston in '89 Worldcon bid as well as did the cover art for fannish publications such as
