Karen E. Cooper, a Minneapolis conrunning and fanzine fan, is a longtime member of Minn-Stf who has served in a variety of positions within the club. She has been a member of Minneapa, FAPA and APA 69.

She chaired Ditto 12, was on the committee for several Baggiecons and Minicons, and was a founding member of the High-Resolution Minicon Bid. She was FGoH at Windycon 40 in 2013.

With her then-husband, Bruce Schneier, Karen was nominated for the 2000 Best Related Book Hugo for their Minicon 34 Restaurant Guide.

A historian, she is the author of When Minnehaha Flowed with Whiskey (2022), which won the Emilie Buchwald Award for Minnesota Nonfiction in the 2023 Minnesota Book Awards.
