Eugene Science-Fantasy Society

A club also known as the Eugene Science-Fantasy Artisans Society or Eusifanso, which was organized in early 1949 in Eugene, OR. Its founding officers were Rosco Wright (President), Norm Hartman (Treasurer) and Dennis Fraser (Secretary). They attended the 1949 Norwescon regional in Portland.

The club seems to have been related to the Fantasy Artisans.

It published a hand-set clubzine, Eusifanso. Rosco Wright did the printing for a more elaborate fanzine, Vernon L. McCain's Wastebasket. The group had a linotype briefly, but when McCain left town funding lapsed. (It never worked that well, anyway...)

Club 1949
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
