Don Blyly is the founder and owner of Uncle Hugo's, a, SF bookstore named after Hugo Gernsback in Minneapolis, MN. It is now considered by many to be the oldest surviving SF bookstore in the United States. (It's paired with Uncle Edgar's, a mystery store.)

He chaired ChambanaCon 1, ChambanaCon 2, ChambanaCon 10, and Minicon 8-10, and was part of the Exec of Minicon 11. He was a member of the Peoria High School Science Fiction Club (for which he published Science Fiction Newsletter) in the late 60s, and University of Illinois SF Society (for which he published Battle of the Titans in 1969. He also published Avesta in the same period. He was a member of Minnstf and published several issues of Rune
