A bid to hold the 1981 Worldcon in Denver, CO. It won at Seacon '79 and went on to run Denvention Two.

The bid was founded by Lois Newman who had moved to Boulder, CO to open Lois Newman Books, and the bid was taken over by Donald C. Thompson and other Denverites. The Denver in 79 bid for Westercon had been intended as a showcase to support Denver in '81, but the bid lost badly.

Peter S. Alterman edited DenVisions and Ed Bryant edited Thin Air Wonder Stories which were published bound dos-a-dos in support of the bid.

The bidders were Denver in '81, LA in '81 and Seattle in 1981. (There were also Tillamook in 1981 and Hawaii in 1981 hoax bids.) See 1981 Worldcon Site Selection for details.
