1979 Site Selection Results

Site selection for the 1979 Worldcon was conducted by SunCon, the 1977 Worldcon. The bidders were Britain in '79 and New Orleans in '79. Britain won and went on to run Seacon '79.

There were 884 votes cast. Suncon did not release actual vote counts, but Britain in '79 "overwhelmingly defeated" New Orleans in '79 and the WSFS Business meeting voted to make the result unanimous.
