1973 Best Novel Hugo

The 1973 Best Novel Hugo was presented September 2 at Torcon 2.

Torcon 2 published the order of only the first three places in each category, leaving the order of the later finishers sometimes in doubt.

  1. The Gods Themselves by Isaac Asimov (Galaxy Mar/Apr, May/Jun 1972; If Mar/Apr 1972)
  2. When Harlie Was One by David Gerrold (Ballantine, 1972)
  3. There Will Be Time by Poul Anderson (Signet, 1972)
